Aunjanue Ellis

Aunjanue ellis-taylor, the American stage and screen actor and producer. She is most famous as a film actress due to her roles on the films Ray Undercover Brother (Ray Undercover Brother) as well as The Mentalist. She holds a BA in African-American Studies from Brown University and an MFA in acting from the Tisch School of the Arts New York University. Aunjanue Lisa Ellis is a producer and American actor active in the theatre, television and film. Her career in acting began at the theater. Later, she was a part of several television shows in independent films, mainstream and movies. She rose to fame as Miranda Shaw in ABC's Quantico, and also appeared in BET's epic show The Book of Negroes. Both of the roles she received critical acclaim and numerous nominations and awards, including the Television Critics Choice Award for the Best Actress. In 1995 she was the first actress to make her debut with The Tempest as Ariel. Apart from Broadway's Come and Gone, she has also been featured in Drowning Crow as well as Seeking the Genesis. When it comes to her film career the most recognizable roles she has played include Men of Honor The Caveman's Valentine The Express The Help. In her television work, she has been praised for her role as the regular character in ABC's drama about cops High Incident.
